My Sleep  

Birds they tweet                   (a song)

Dogs they bark

And I am trying to sleep

Cows they moo

Frogs they croak

And I am trying to sleep

I don't know why I need my sleep

It's something I just do

It has to be a rarity

Or they'd be sleeping too.

The clock is ticking on the wall 

The thunder makes a sound

Car goes past, rain falls fast

I shouldn't be lying down.

​

Birds they tweet

Dogs they bark

And I am trying to sleep

Cows they moo

And Frogs they croak

And I am trying to sleep.

So I jump on up

Get on out of bed

Go outside to meet the day.

Let the dog go free

Have a cup of tea

And the kids are there to play.

And I am now awake.

Cows they moo

And frogs they croak

And I am now awake. 

​

I know why I am awake 

With all this noise around

It seems to be the only thing

That I can do now.
